Goldeen Pokemon Amigurumi
I recently made a MagiKarp for my daughter as she has one for her "buddy"on PokemonGo. The pattern for MagiKarp can be found on Crochetnanigans. During my search for patterns, I came across Goldeen, but never found a pattern for one. Here's my attempt.
I use thread as I wanted a smaller piece. I love using Lizbethread. I think it is easier to use as it keeps shape and doesn't seem flimsy.
Materials:
Thread size 10
Colors: White, Orange or Orange mix (orange crush 183), pink, and yellow
Crochet Hook size 7
Needle to attack pieces
Felt piece for eyes: white, black, and blue
Abbreviations
ch – chain
ss – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
dtc- double treble crochet
dec – decrease
st – stitch
fo – finish off
repeat * – repeat what is in between *
Body:
Begin with Magic Circle
Round 1: 6 sc in the round
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around = 12
Round 3: *2sc in first then one in the next sc* repeat around = 18
Round 4: *2sc in first then one in the next 2 sc* repeat around =24
Round 5:sc in each sc around = 24
Round 6:*2sc in first then one in the next 3 sc* repeat around = 30
Round7:*2sc in first then one in the next 4 sc* repeat around = 36
Round 8- 10: sc in each sc =36
Round 11: *2sc in first then one in the next five* repeat around =42
Round 12: *dec in the first two st then sc in the next five*= 36
Round 13: sc in each sc around = 36
Round 14: *dec in the first two st then sc in the next four*= 30
Round 15: *dec in the first two st then sc in the next three*= 24
Round 16: *dec in the first two st then sc in the next two*=18
Stuff
Round 17: dec around = 12

FIns: (make two)
Chain 7with orange leave long tail in order to attach to body
Row 1: hdc in the third chain from the hook then hdc in each chain across = 6 hdc (5hdc + chain 2)
Row 2: turn chain three Dc in first stitch (counts as two) dc in each until last st 2 dc in last=8
Row 3: switch to white chain three dc in the first st dc across until last st 2dc in last = 10
Row 4: Chain three dc in in first 2dc in each st across =20
End weave in end
Horn:
Using yellow make a magic circle
Round 1: 4 sc in the circle
Round 2: 2sc in fist st one sc in the next 2sc in next then one in the last one = 6
Round 3-6 sc in each sc
Round 6: Attach orange work in the back loops only 2sc in each st around = 12
Finish off leaving long tail to attack to body
Back Fin:
Using white chain 8
sc in the third chain from the hook hdc, dc and dtc in the next st, dtr and dc in next chain, hdc, and sc = 6
finish off and weave in
Attach orange to the bottom. The round will be worked going around the bottom.
2 sc at each end join
Chain 2 counts as 1 hdc - hdc in the back loop of each st join at the top of the chain 2
Finish off and leave long tail to attach to body
Eye Lids:
Using Orange
Chain 6
sc in the second chain from the hook, hdc, 2 dc in next chain, hdc, and sc in last chain.
Finish off weave ends. Leave long tail to attach to body.
Lips:
Using Pink
Chain 8 join to make a circle.
Sc in each chain join at the beginning. Leave tail to attach.
Tail Fins:
Chain 9 leave long tail to attack tail at end
dc in 3rd chain from the hook dc in each chain across = 7 (6dc + chain 2) Turn
Chain 3 2dc in each st across = 14 turn do not end

chain 3 and dc in fist dt, dc dec 4 times 2dc in last st = 8 turn
chain 3 dc dec across to last st dc in last st = 5
Finish off and weave in end
Return to base- skip four st and join
chain 3 dc in first st and next st =2 (chain does not count as st) turn
chain 3 2 dc in each st = 4 turn
chain 3 dc in first st dc in next st until the end 2 dc in last st = 6 turn
chain 3 dc in first st dc in next st, dc dec over next two st, dc in next st, and 2dc in the last= 7 turn
chain 3 , dc dec over next 2 st, dc dec, dc, and dc in last st = 5 turn
chain 3, dc dec, dc dec = 3
Finish off weave in end
Join white at base sc around
Once the upper top of fins are reached place 2 sc in the 2 uppermost stitches
Once the base is reached sc dec over those four stitched
Once completed chain three and dc across, again 2 dc in the upper peak sts and dec across the valley. Finish off and weave in.
